GreenPoint Rated New Home


Help builders and developers give new home buyers the assurance of a truly green home. As a New Home Rater or Advisor you can help them get the GreenPoint Rated consumer label - the mark of quality green construction.

This 1-day course covers the policies, processes and program requirements unique to the New Home rating system. It addresses current trends in new construction and illustrates the role of the Rater and Advisor in the green building process. After passing the exam you will receive your certification as a GreenPoint Rater or Advisor for both single- and multi-family new homes, and can be listed on Build It Green's Certified Professional Directory, which receives over 2500 searches per month.

    • Energy efficiency and building envelope
    • Water conserving systems
    • Ventilation practices
    • High efficiency systems and equipment
    • Indoor air quality
    • Waste and site measures addressing resource conservation

  •  How to leverage the resources of Build It Green and GreenPoint Rated
