Build It Green offers three core credentials through our professional training programs:

Recent News

We recently revised our website and now offer new networking and self-promotion tools.  One of these is a more robust Directory listing service for professionals to promote themselves within as well as for other professionals, local government officials, homeowners, and prospective clients to contact each other.  It is a solid tool for verifying your certification status with Build It Green.
 
The Directory List now includes all Build It Green certified green building professionals in one easy to find place.  Our directory listing has been available online since 2003 for CGBP and GreenPoint Rated since 2007 -- and is the most visited area of our website.  Certified green professionals on this list are maintaining their continuing education in green building and keeping up in the industry.
 

 

Manage a Directory Listing

 

Are you a graduate of a Build It Green program?  Advertise your strengths and highlight your skills by updating and detailing your Directory listing. You must be logged in to manage your profile and directory listing.  PLEASE NOTE - Editing your PROFILE updates your private information with Build It Green administration.  Edits made to your DIRECTORY LISTING will be published to the public.

How to Locate a Professional

You can modify your SEARCH at any time by Build It Green credential type (category), region, professional type, extended building credential(s), and other qualifying experience. 
 
Once you have viewed a Directory Listing, you can learn more about an individual (User), their experience in the industry and affiliations by visiting their user profile. You can also connect from a User's Build It Green profile or Directory Listing to their company website or other social networking website profiles.

Build It Green HAS NOT, and WILL NOT, verify the accuracy or legality of any directory listing content.   Build It Green HAS NOT, and WILL NOT, verify the license status of any directory professionals who purport to be licensed by third party groups. Build It Green has no obligation whatsoever to verify or update the listings on this directory. In the event that Build It Green elects, in its sole discretion as owner of the website, to verify or update any listings, such action shall not obligate Build It Green to so verify or update all or any other listings.

Build It Green makes no express or implied warranties regarding the services and/or products listed in the directory. 

Terms of Use

Subject to each credential owner’s representation, warranty and covenant to comply with all federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances applicable to posting of website content in the directory (“applicable laws”), each Build It Green credential owner may post one free listing to the Build It Green Certified Green Professionals Directory. Such listing may include links to company websites and social networking sites such as LinkedIn.com, facebook.com, and twitter.com. Each credential owner posting on this directory is solely responsible for managing and updating all listing content. Each credential owner may deactivate its directory listing at any time.    

 As the owner of all Build It Green website content, Build It Green, the certifying body for Certified Green Building Professional and GreenPoint Rated Advisor and Rater trainings, maintains the right to remove, at any time and without prior notice, in its sole discretion and for no reason whatsoever, any directory listings, public profiles, or any other content or files loaded to the Build It Green website.  In no event will Build It Green, its employees, officers, directors or agents be responsible for any damages, including actual, special or consequential damages, associated with such removal. Build It Green has no obligation to store, maintain or provide copies of any content provided by a credential owner. 

In no event will Build It Green, its employees, officers, directors or agents be responsible for the content of any listings, including without limitation any libelous or inaccurate content, any social networking content, or for any actions, personal or electronic communications initiated in connection with listings posted in this directory. The information provided in the directory is being provided freely. No agreement or contractual relationship is created between Build It Green and either (A) a credential owner and/or (B) the end users of this website by either (I) the posting of listings to the directory, and/or (II) the use of information from the directory.
