Build It Green and The Sustainable Communities Program Present:
Lunch and Learn
Are you prepared to implement new building requirements as they roll out over the next several years? Come join the discussion on November 29th, 2012
Come join our next guild to discuss building code changes that are underway.
New energy and green requirements in California’s 2013 Building Code are going into effect on January 1, 2014. To meet California’s goal for all new homes to be Net Zero by 2020, the new energy code is slated to be approximately 25% more rigorous across climate zones. Updates to CALGreen, the state’s green building code, will likely include provisions for residential additions and major remodels. In unison with these code changes, GreenPoint Rated is also modifying and aligning its program.
As a builder, architect and residential building industry professional, it is important to be prepared for coming changes. Be among the first to learn what you can expect in the next couple of years. Build It Green’s Tenaya Asan, Senior Manager in the GreenPoint Rated Program, will give you an overview and get you started on the next generation of green homes!
