Registration Fees

Advanced registration is required and encouraged as most of the training courses sell out well in advance.
 
EBD Registration

We are now proud to offer “Early Bird” registration to our professional training events in 2010!  Members will receive $100 off / Non-Members receive $50 off when registering and paying in full for an event by the early bird registration deadline. 

The reduction in fee is automatically deducted upon registration.
 
Online registration is preferred and available through the Event Calendar, but registration by mail is also available.
 
All participants receive a resource binder that includes all course presentation materials.

Certified Green Building Professional (CGBP) Training

Participants receive a resource binder that includes:
  • Complete CGBP course presentation print materials
  • Additional participation information
  • Additional tools and resources
  • All successful students may submit an application for a Directory Listing at or after the training

GreenPoint Rater - New Home Training

Participants receive a resource binder that includes:

  • Build It Green New Home Construction and Home Remodeling Green Building Guidelines
  • GreenPoint Rater Handbook
  • Single Family and Multifamily Rating Manuals
  • All course presentation print materials and additional participation information
  • All successful students may submit an application for a Directory Listing at or after the training

Successful graduates will receive a certificate & ID card..

GreenPoint Rater - Existing Home Training

Participants receive a resource binder that includes:

  • Build It Green Home Remodeling Green Building Guidelines
  • GreenPoint Rater - Existing Home Training Binder
  • GreenPoint Rated - Existing Home Rating Manual
  • GreenPoint Rated - Existing Home Program Policies and Procedures Handbook
  • GreenPoint Rated - Existing Home Checklist
  • Homeowner brochures and educational material
  • All successful students may submit an application for a Directory Listing at or after the training

Successful graduates will receive a certificate & ID card.

If an attendee does not receive a passing grade on a final exam, they may retake the exam at a future training session or at the Build It Green office within 12 months for a fee of $50.00.  If an attendee receives well below an accepted passing grade, they may be required to retake the course, at  a discount - based on the type of training.  Please call to arrange an appointment 510-590-3360 x603 or contact Training@BuildItGreen.org. 
 

Professional Training Cancellation & Refund Policy


CANCELLATIONS BY THE STUDENT

For cancellations made eight (8) or more business days prior to the start of a training event date, the student can request to either:

  • Be rescheduled into another course, or
  • Receive a full refund from Build It Green

For cancellations made within seven (7) business days prior to the start of the training event date, the training fee is 50% refundable.

RESCHEDULING

For reschedules made eight (8) or more business days prior to the start of a training event date, the student can request to transfer to a different date, a different training, or a different location.

For reschedules made within seven (7) business days prior to the start of the course, students are assessed a $100 rescheduling fee.

SUBSTITUTIONS OF ONE STUDENT FOR ANOTHER

Substitutions of one student for another for a specific enrollment are accepted with at least two days notice before the training begins, provided the substitute meets the training prerequisites or is approved by Build It Green’s Professional Training Manager.

NO SHOWS

For no-shows, a $200 No Show fee is assessed.
"No Shows" is defined as the student does not show up on the date the training starts, and there was no prior communication from the student to cancel or reschedule the training.

CANCELLATIONS BY BUILD IT GREEN OR ITS DELIVERY PARTNERS

Build It Green’s Right to Cancel or Reschedule. Build It Green or its delivery partners may cancel or reschedule any training and will attempt to provide at least ten (10) business days notice when cancelling or rescheduling. At Customer's direction, Build It Green will refund to Student, fees paid for the cancelled training or credit the fees toward the fees chargeable for the rescheduled training.

NOTE: Travel arrangements are the student's responsibility and Build It Green assumes no liability for any costs, including non-refundable tickets, that may be incurred in the unlikely event of a training cancellation or rescheduling.
