Terms of Use

Subject to each credential owner’s representation, warranty and covenant to comply with all federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances applicable to posting of website content in the directory (“applicable laws”), each Build It Green credential owner may post one free listing to the Build It Green Certified Green Professionals Directory. Such listing may include links to company websites and social networking sites such as LinkedIn.com, facebook.com, and twitter.com. Each credential owner posting on this directory is solely responsible for managing and updating all listing content. Each credential owner may deactivate its directory listing at any time.    

 As the owner of all Build It Green website content, Build It Green, the certifying body for Certified Green Building Professional and GreenPoint Rated Advisor and Rater trainings, maintains the right to remove, at any time and without prior notice, in its sole discretion and for no reason whatsoever, any directory listings, public profiles, or any other content or files loaded to the Build It Green website.  In no event will Build It Green, its employees, officers, directors or agents be responsible for any damages, including actual, special or consequential damages, associated with such removal. Build It Green has no obligation to store, maintain or provide copies of any content provided by a credential owner. 

In no event will Build It Green, its employees, officers, directors or agents be responsible for the content of any listings, including without limitation any libelous or inaccurate content, any social networking content, or for any actions, personal or electronic communications initiated in connection with listings posted in this directory. The information provided in the directory is being provided freely. No agreement or contractual relationship is created between Build It Green and either (A) a credential owner and/or (B) the end users of this website by either (I) the posting of listings to the directory, and/or (II) the use of information from the directory.

By posting content to the directory, each credential owner represents and warrants (i) that its posting complies with all applicable laws, is accurate, not confidential, and not in violation of any contractual restrictions or other third party rights, and (ii) that it has not been the subject of any professional disciplinary proceeding or action (pursuant to California Civil Code section 43.95). 

By posting content to this directory, each credential owner grants Build It Green a nonexclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, unlimited, and royalty-free right to publish, distribute, use, remove and/or commercialize the directory listing without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to the credential owner or to any third parties.

Each credential owner agrees to indemnify and hold Build It Green harmless for any and all damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) related to claims regarding (X) a breach of representations and warranties contained herein, (Y) the content of any directory listing, or (Z) any other matters related to the directory listing.
