Senior Project Manager

Jake Tisinger oversees implementation of the Home Upgrade Program in the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) territory. Tisinger collaborates with contractors, utilities, and industry experts, and works continuously to improve program delivery and drive greater energy efficiency savings for participating Home Upgrade customers.

Tisinger brings seven years of leadership experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy program management, including roles as a rebate program implementer, energy analyst, and project manager. Before joining Build It Green in 2014, he served as Project Manager for the City of Knoxville’s Office of Sustainability, where he led numerous energy efficiency, solar PV, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure initiatives for the Tennessee local government. He also measured and managed the city’s energy consumption for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Better Buildings Challenge, completed Knoxville’s 2014 Carbon Emissions Inventory Update, and led multiple community working groups to develop a low-income residential energy efficiency strategy for the IBM Smarter Cities Challenge.

Tisinger holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University. In addition, he is an AmeriCorps alumni, Certified Green Building Professional, and a BPI Building Analyst.
